Meet Charlie
Hey! I’m Charlie, the face behind Drive the Tide Driving School here in Pwllheli
I’m a friendly, easy-going driving instructor offering manual lessons - and I’ll be taking on new learners from the 24th of November!
Before starting Drive the Tide, I worked with Dragon Drive, and before that, I spent 15 years as a watersports instructor. Teaching’s always been a huge part of my life, and those years on the water taught me how to adapt my lessons to suit every individual - keeping things calm, fun, and focused on your progress.
I’m bilingual (Welsh & English) and love helping learners feel relaxed and confident, whichever language they prefer to learn in.
The name Drive the Tide comes from my love of the sea - it’s a big part of who I am!
I remember being 17 and desperate to drive so I could finally have some freedom. Now, as a mum of two, I completely understand how important driving is for convenience and independence. So whether you’re just starting out at 17 or learning later in life for family or work - I get it, and I’m here to help.
